In connection with this fact, answering questions from journalists, he noted that the car could indeed become a source of pride for Ukroboronprom, but there is still work to be done.
The first production "Dozor-B" vehicles were supposed to appear at the Ukroboronprom concern by March, but there was a delay in launching production due to the need for certain refinements. Engineers decided to modernize the armored vehicle to accommodate different variants and types of engines. Initially, the vehicle was designed for the Deutz power unit. But after the German company did not guarantee strict delivery conditions for the required number of engines to Ukraine, it was decided to provide for the installation of 5 different engines at once.
Since our country has always had plenty of talented engineers, the work was successful.
As reported by the General Director of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, Roman Romanov: "We will be able to easily replace the engine if difficulties arise with its supply, without additional design research. We have held negotiations with leading manufacturers of power units and will first release the 'Dozor' with different engines. Then, during testing, we will select the optimal ones from them."
And Yuriy Pashchenko added that the main enterprise for the production of "Dozors" will be the Lviv Armored Plant.

The "Dozor-B" is built with a hood layout, which improves cross-country capability while maintaining ease of boarding and disembarking for the crew and troops, and also provides convenient access to the power unit, braking and air systems, and steering for field maintenance. Increased cross-country capability is ensured by the 4x4 wheel arrangement and a ground clearance of 400 mm. It features a transfer case with a lockable center differential, and the wheels have a tire inflation system that can be used even while driving.
