Having formalized their wishes in the form of a recommendation proposal. But the insurers themselves are not delighted with such innovations; they simply turned out to be unprepared for such initiatives. It is no wonder that they opposed the introduction of mandatory insurance for vehicles confiscated from citizens for the needs of the Anti-Terrorist Operation.

Usually, insurers do not insure against war during hostilities. The reason is trivial: the high probability of an insured event occurring and the lack of randomness in its occurrence. Although the possibility of involving insurance companies in the process exists if special state compensation programs are activated during military operations.

According to Anatoliy Klimyuk, director of the claims settlement department at Allianz: “The alienation of a vehicle, which occurs by order of the authorities, is a standard exclusion from the comprehensive insurance (CASCO) contract. Therefore, there will be no payment in case of damage to the confiscated vehicle. And the obligation to compensate for the loss on such a vehicle lies with the state.”
