The question is how significantly the number of thefts has increased. According to official data, over the past few months, Ukraine has recorded a 41% increase in this indicator compared to the same period last year.
Thus, the number of stolen cars increased from 4137 to 7084. In addition to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, which, as it is easy to guess, are at the top of this ranking, Kyiv also made it into the top three.

In Donetsk region, 1500 theft cases were registered, in Luhansk region — 830, and in the capital — 840. The third position is occupied by Dnipropetrovsk with 587 cars. The calmest situation is observed in the west of the country: in Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, and Ternopil regions, a total of about 150 cars were stolen.
Traffic police officers attribute the increase in thefts to the unstable situation in eastern Ukraine. It is interesting whether our state traffic inspectorate has a position of "Captain Obvious"?
