According to the results of August, dealerships sold only 6,621 new passenger cars, which is 74.7% less than the figure for the same month a year earlier. Since the beginning of this year, the market decline is estimated at about 50%.
At the same time, many car dealers managed to maintain volumes at the July level. The reason was fluctuations in exchange rates, due to which some customers hurried to make a purchase, expecting a quick rise in car prices.
Let us remind you that over the entire past year, 201 thousand new passenger cars were sold in the country.
