On the way to the tank unit, a civilian Opel Vectra ended up under the wheels of the army all-wheel-drive tractor MAZ-537. The car driver insists that the truck suddenly started moving backwards, while the military claim that the fault lies with the car owner, who failed to maintain a safe distance.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to confirm either version — no witnesses to the incident were found. It is good that the Opel driver got off with a minor arm injury, and the passenger was not hurt at all, although the car itself is beyond repair.
Before the traffic police officers arrived, the military tried to pull the foreign car out from under the rear wheels of the tractor on their own, but in the end the Opel lost its rear axle. The local traffic police department is now investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
