According to eyewitness reports published on social media, the fire at the enterprise continues to this day. There is no data on the extent of the damage yet. It is worth noting that the Lysychansk refinery is among the largest oil refineries in Ukraine.
Production was halted in March 2012 by decision of the owner, TNK-BP. The enterprise is designed to process 8 million tons of oil annually. The plant's launch was planned for spring 2014, but these plans were not destined to come true.
As reported by mass media, several days ago militants seized administrative buildings located on the territory of the plant.
