This was reported by the press service of the Department of Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The department warned that, according to weather forecasters, on the evening of May 14 in the Carpathians, and on May 15–16 in the western, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia regions, heavy rains are expected, with very heavy precipitation in the Carpathian region starting May 15. In the rest of the country, brief thunderstorms are forecast, with hail and wind gusts up to 15–20 m/s possible in some places.
Motorists should heed the advice of the Ukrainian State Traffic Inspectorate: in such conditions, it is necessary to exercise increased caution while driving and strictly adhere to the Rules of the Road. If the rain is too heavy, it is wiser to stop and wait out the bad weather. When stopping, be sure to turn on the hazard warning lights.
In rainy weather, especially with the onset of dusk, pedestrians are advised to wear reflective vests or clothing with reflective elements. Drivers should turn on their parking lights, low beam headlights in advance, and, if necessary, fog lights.
In addition, let us remind you of such a product as "anti-rain": its varieties were previously tested by AvtoPortal.
