The BTR-4E was developed by the Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau and is the pride of this enterprise. It is also important to note that the BTR-4 is in service with the Iraqi National Guard. In terms of armament, it surpasses many foreign and Russian counterparts.

Thus, the BTR-4E is equipped with a 37-mm automatic cannon for engaging armored targets, a PKT machine gun, and an AGS-100 automatic grenade launcher for firing at enemy personnel. Depending on the modification, the BTR-4 can also have the "Barrier" anti-tank missile system with four guided missiles (range up to 5.5 km).



The only thing that is concerning is that not long ago Iraq returned a batch of BTR-4s to Ukraine due to defects. I want to believe that the batch handed over to the National Guard does not consist (even partially) of rejected vehicles…
