Journalists from "Comments" called all the capital's MREOs and found out that none of them have license plates.
"Our department has no plates, and when they will appear is unknown. As soon as they call us from the management and say we can pick them up, we will go immediately," reported Kyiv MREO No. 13.
In the department responsible for organizing registration and examination work in the Main Department of the State Automobile Inspection of Kyiv, they explained that the reason is a delay in fulfilling the order by the manufacturer of license plates.
"There was a delay at the factory, understand, we don't produce them. The manufacturer doesn't have time to make plates for all of Ukraine, and we have only one factory. They are already meeting a car with plates, I can assure you, today all MREOs can get transit plates," stated an employee of the Main Department of the State Automobile Inspection of Kyiv.
Recall that the production of license plates for vehicles in Ukraine is carried out by the Vinnytsia plant "Fort", which, in addition to plates, also produces firearms of the same name.
Earlier, "Comments" wrote that in the fall of 2011, there was also a shortage of car plates in Kyiv, and then the reason was linked to supply disruptions from the manufacturer.
