Buyers will be able to order sports cars with up to 836 horsepower with three options for combined body styling and designer touches in the interior.

Shelby designers offer a choice of orange, acid green, or black paint. Signature stripes down the middle of the roof, trunk, hood, and bumpers, as well as inserts along the rocker panels, can be black or acid green. Orange and green cannot be combined with each other. Anthracite 20-inch ten-spoke wheels complete the picture.

The interior of the special version features seats with green or orange accents, original door sill plates, and unique floor mats.

Otherwise, the appearance of the limited supercars is identical to the regular facelifted Mustangs with the Shelby Super Snake package: they differ from less powerful fastbacks and convertibles by an aggressive aerodynamic body kit, a special Shelby radiator grille, and a hood with additional cutouts.

Under the hood of the Shelby Super Snake is a 5.0-liter V8 with a mechanical supercharger that produces 720 or 836 horsepower depending on the boost pressure. The American supercar can be ordered with a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. Drive is to the rear axle. The car can accelerate from a standstill to 96 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds.

Although only 30 Shelby Super Snakes in 1970 color combinations are planned for the US, the total number of limited supercars will be higher, as "a certain number of cars will be built by Shelby distributors around the world."

The price list for the special series of Mustangs has not yet been published, but the cars will not be affordable, because a year and a half ago prices for "regular" Shelby Super Snakes started at $113,445.
