The publication AutoCar reported this information.
Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös stated: "After 2030, the V12 engine will disappear from our model lineup".
He also explained that current generations of cars will continue to use the petrol V12 engine. This engine will be further improved, increasing its environmental friendliness.
The British manufacturer plans to invest significant resources in the development of its own petrol engine so that it fully meets environmental standards. The updated powertrain will appear in the modernized versions of Ghost, Cullinan, and Phantom.
In addition, the head of the company said that there will be no hybrid models from Rolls-Royce. Instead, the brand will immediately move to the production of fully electric cars, bypassing the transitional stage.
