Tests of autonomous vehicles built on the Toyota Prius platform were conducted in real urban traffic conditions on the streets of the capital's Khamovniki district.

The driverless Prius cars independently recognized traffic light signals, road signs, markings, and also took into account the actions of other road users and pedestrians. The driver, who was in the cabin as a safety net, never had to take over control, as the systems operated without failures.

It is worth noting that prior to this, prototypes of self-driving cars from Yandex had been tested on snow-covered roads in the Moscow region.
