We are talking about a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1.6 liters, which will be able to produce at least 400 horsepower.
As the head of the brand, Christian von Koenigsegg, said, this modern turbo engine is already ready, but for now it exists only as a prototype. It is noteworthy that the development is being carried out together with the Chinese brand Qoros.
Von Koenigsegg added that the new power unit mainly uses expensive parts and components, but when organizing mass production, the cost of manufacturing such an engine could significantly decrease.
It is worth recalling that Koenigsegg is still considered the creator of some of the most powerful and fastest cars in the world. For example, the 2016 Koenigsegg Regera hypercar has an output of 1500 horsepower and can reach speeds of up to 400 km/h in just 20 seconds!
