On April 14, a summit of automakers and EU transport ministers was held in Amsterdam, where issues of cooperation in the development of infrastructure for self-driving cars and the development of uniform standards regulating their operation were discussed.

The summit coincided with tests of two self-driving CITROЁN C4 Picasso. On this occasion, it was decided to send two bloggers and a journalist to it to demonstrate the achievements of the PSA Group.
The cars successfully covered three hundred kilometers, but most importantly, the tests were carried out in real conditions on public roads. The tests were assigned the third level of complexity out of five possible "eyes off" - when the driver completely hands over control to the technology and simply monitors the correct operation of the systems.

In 2015, the PSA Group became the first European company to receive permission to test self-driving cars on public roads in France.

To date, four self-driving C4 Picasso have covered more than 20,000 kilometers in total on the Paris - Bordeaux and Paris - Vigo (Spain) routes. In 2018, the PSA Group plans to introduce self-driving cars that will drive under the "supervision" of the driver, and by 2020 - cars with fully autonomous control.
