This is not a plot from a movie. A similar way of buying cars is already working in the USA — in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. The unusual car sales system was introduced by the American online service Carvana, which specializes in selling used cars.
The purchase scheme looks like this: the buyer first fills out all the necessary documents via the Internet on the company's website (this takes about 20 minutes), after which they receive a special large coin. This coin must be inserted into a machine located in a five-story automated parking lot, from where a robotic system delivers the car chosen by the client. If the car does not suit for some reason, it can be returned within a week.
The developers of this sales model claim that it is beneficial for both the seller and the buyer. The former do not have to maintain a large staff of employees, and the latter do not have to pay for their work and additional services.
