They told about the trip on their YouTube channel Simple Guy. Of course, they couldn't do without preparing the car – they had to bring the wiring, engine, etc. up to par. At the same time, the work on the ZAZ-968M was done by hand.

First, the young Ukrainians headed west, to the Black Sea coast, and then north, to the Carpathians. After that, having traveled around the mountains, they returned back (in both directions it turned out to be about 1,500 km each way).

The travelers noted that the old, tired Zaporozhets really proved itself worthy. True, they couldn't do without forced stops. Being a car with air cooling, like classic Porsches, but not having very good engine ventilation, the ZAZ constantly overheated and had to be stopped often to cool down. The trip took place in hot summer, so the guys often drove 30-40 km to the next "pit stop", although sometimes they managed to drive even almost 100 km.

The average fuel consumption during the trip was 9.5 liters, and according to the enthusiasts, if this figure could be reduced to 7 liters, the Zaporozhets would be an excellent car for its money.
