As is known, the engine of the Zaporozhets is installed at the rear, and at the front, under the hood, there is a cargo compartment. Tesla has the same feature, but for a different reason – since it is an electric vehicle, its key components are mounted in the floor and on the axles, and in the usual place of the engine there is a large compartment for luggage (however, not all "electric cars" can boast of this – some still have electric drive components "scattered" under the hood).
In general, as you can see, ZAZ and Tesla have at least one common feature. But who is cooler in this indicator? As it turned out, the Zaporozhets! To determine the trunk volume of both cars, enthusiasts decided to "pack" the cargo compartments of each of them with packages of canned food and count the number of packages that fit. In the end, 36 such packages fit into the ZAZ-968, and only 31 into the Tesla Model S. Each package, by the way, contained 10 cans of canned food.
As reported by the Belarusian publication auto.onliner.by, the unusual competition took place as part of the retro rally "Golden Mile 2021".
By the way, according to the passport, the trunk volume of the ZAZ-968 is 135 liters, and the Tesla Model S – 150 liters (we are, of course, talking about the front compartment).
