Often in Ukraine, such cars “surface” for sale among collector communities, or at worst, in online listings. In this case, however, the story is somewhat different: the “eight” is being sold by a capital city car dealership (a chain of showrooms) VIDI. The owner consigned his hatchback.

The car indeed has collector appeal: it is in excellent condition (both body and interior, as well as mechanically; moreover, the paint is original), and the odometer shows only 18,619 km. For a 31-year-old car, that's practically no mileage at all. The hatchback is equipped with a 1.3-liter engine producing 63 horsepower.

It is offered for purchase as a car in new condition for 137,500 UAH ($5,000).

Such a car was produced from 1984 to 2004.

It is worth noting that this “eight” is far from the only Soviet “time capsule” currently for sale in Ukraine. Another interesting option is a VAZ-2102 with 14,300 km on the odometer, which has also been preserved completely in original condition.
