We are talking about Ford Bronco Sport crossovers produced from 2021 to 2024, as well as Escape models that came off the assembly line in 2020–2022. In these cars, there is a possibility of cracks forming in the fuel injectors, which could cause a fire.
It is worth noting: the recall campaign is conducted exclusively in the United States. In Ukraine, however, there are quite a lot of such cars, since many drivers choose used cars from the American market. However, this recall does not officially apply to cars purchased in the US independently or through intermediaries — they are not under warranty service at domestic Ford dealerships.
This is far from the first large-scale recall campaign by the brand in recent times. In July, Ford already returned 850,000 Mustang, F-150, and Lincoln Aviator vehicles to service centers due to low-pressure fuel pump malfunctions. Before that, there were about 200,000 Mustang Mach-E electric cars — due to the risk of passengers being locked inside the cabin, as well as 133,000 Lincoln Aviators, which had problems with the fastening of body elements.
