The share of electric vehicles reached 12.9% of the total number of cars imported into Ukraine.
In the popularity ranking among electric car owners, TESLA holds the lead — 4,742 such cars were recorded. The second place is occupied by VOLKSWAGEN with 3,194 electric vehicles, and the third place goes to NISSAN, which was chosen 3,034 times. In terms of specific models, the most frequently chosen were NISSAN LEAF, TESLA MODEL 3, and VOLKSWAGEN ID.4.
By volume of electric car imports, Lviv region takes the first position — 13.5% of the total. Next come the capital with 13.1% and Odesa region, which accounts for 9.3%.
A record number of electric cars were brought to Ukraine
A record 20.8 thousand electric vehicles were imported into Ukraine in 5 months of 2024. Despite power outages, demand for "battery-powered" cars increased 2.1 times year-on-year, which is more than in the same period of 2023, when 9,736 electric cars were imported.
