The Kaliningrad automobile enterprise Avtotor, where production of BMW, Hyundai and Kia cars was established, decided to allocate land plots to its employees for vegetable gardens "due to the difficult economic situation".

"The shareholders and management of Avtotor decided to allocate free of charge to all comers land plots for arranging vegetable gardens. The size of the plots is 1000 sq. m (10 ares)", the statement says.

Recall that in early March, BMW stopped supplying cars to Russia and also ceased local production at the Kaliningrad Avtotor. Then BMW stated that "the current geopolitical situation and the problem of logistics of automotive components do not allow continuing local assembly".
