So far, precipitation is not too bothersome — it quickly comes and goes just as quickly.
Over the entire period of meteorological observations, the hottest Independence Day in Ukraine was recorded in 1946, when in some regions thermometers rose to a sweltering 39 degrees. This year, on August 24, forecasters promise summer-like 27… 29 °C during the day, except for the western regions, where it will be cooler — up to 22 °C. Precipitation on August 24 is possible in the morning in the west, in the afternoon — in places in the central regions, and in the evening — in the north and center of the country. However, as always, meteorologists build forecasts based on models, and the real atmosphere often makes its own adjustments.
In western Ukraine, from August 21 to 23, calm cloudy weather is expected with temperatures from 21 °C to 25 °C. At night it will be quite fresh — 12… 15 °C. In Zakarpattia, there are more sunny days and it is warmer: 24… 27 °C during the day, around 16 °C at night. But on Independence Day, August 24, rains will pass there, it will become cooler — only 19… 22 °C during the day.

On Independence Day, mostly clear, 26… 28 °C, moderate wind. Only nighttime temperatures will remind of approaching autumn — on Monday and Tuesday they will drop to 14… 15 °C.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, on Saturday the air will warm up to 28 °C, thunderstorms and rain are expected. In the Vinnytsia region, on Saturday up to 22 °C during the day, rains will pass, at night 13… 15 °C. On Independence Day, it is sunny and warm there — up to 27 °C.
In the north of the country, on Saturday 27 °C, precipitation possible in places. On Sunday and Monday, partly cloudy during the day, 22… 25 °C. On the holiday, it will warm up to 27 °C, but residents of Zhytomyr, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions should take umbrellas — forecasters promise brief rains.
In Kyiv on Saturday, August 21, mostly clear weather is expected, up to 27 °C. On Sunday and Monday, it will be partly cloudy, but during the day it will become a bit cooler — 24… 25 °C.
On Independence Day, excellent summer weather is forecast in the capital: 21 °C in the morning, 27 °C in the afternoon, and rains are not excluded in the evening. A light southern breeze will only add coziness to the holiday, which this time promises to be especially rich. However, the festive mood largely depends on ourselves, and in any weather, it can be created by our own efforts.
