Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled the restyled body-on-frame SUV Pajero Sport. The public premiere of the updated model took place on July 25 in Thailand. Production of the car is already underway at a plant near Bangkok.

The updated Mitsubishi Pajero Sport features a design in the style of the restyled L200 pickup, with which it shares the same chassis. The SUV, executed in accordance with the corporate Dynamic Shield direction, has acquired a modified, more sporty bumper, narrow optics with new blocks of LED daytime running lights, as well as a slightly modernized radiator grille. The car also received new taillights and a spoiler.
Inside the Pajero Sport, a digital instrument cluster, a large screen of the modernized multimedia system, and a new center console have appeared. More buttons have been placed on the steering wheel of the SUV, and the trunk and lock can now be opened using a smartphone. In addition, USB ports are now available for the second row of seats. The driver is offered a blind spot monitoring system, a lane change assist function, and a rear cross-traffic alert system.

In the local market, the all-wheel-drive SUV is already available with a 2.4-liter diesel turbo engine. The power of the unit is 181 horsepower. The unit works in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission. For some countries, a 2.5-liter turbodiesel with an output of 136 hp and a 209-horsepower gasoline V6 engine with a volume of 3.0 liters are provided.
