The hydraulic distributor is a key element of the hydraulic system of specialized machinery used in the agricultural sector, construction, forestry, and municipal services. Its task is to control the direction of working fluid flows and regulate their pressure.

Hydraulic distributors are divided by the type of working element, design features, control method, mounting and connection options, as well as by the number of working positions and lines. Most often, spool-type models are found on special equipment, where the working element is one or more spools. Such devices are simple to manufacture, reliable, compact, and affordable, withstand pressure up to 32 MPa, and can be equipped with several channels. The operating principle is based on the axial movement of the spool, which can have a flat or cylindrical geometry.

Since each hydraulic system is created for a specific machine and a specific set of tasks, it cannot be said that any model is objectively better than another. On the Ukrainian market, the R-80 distributor is in the greatest demand. This is a monoblock spool unit with manual control and a safety valve set to operate in the range of 14-20 MPa, protecting the system from sudden pressure surges. The R-80 is used in agricultural machines, road equipment, and various tractors where the pump capacity does not exceed 80 liters.

The list of leading manufacturers of R-80 hydraulic distributors is as follows.

1. The Bulgarian plant Badestnost, operating since 1902, manufactures monoblock distributors of small size and weight.
