According to the terms of the exclusive distribution contract, the AIS Group of Companies becomes the official representative of FAW Trucks in the Ukrainian market. This Chinese company produces commercial vehicles of various classes — from light to heavy trucks.

The tasks of AIS include importing the FAW model range with a load capacity of 2.8 to 40 tons, forming a dealer network, as well as ensuring warranty obligations and technical maintenance.

Sales of FAW trucks to end customers will be carried out both through AIS's own trading platforms and through a network of attracted dealers.

It is planned to supply to Ukraine both chassis and flatbed trucks and dump trucks from FAW. At the facilities of the Kremenchug plant of PO "Avto-Holding", by order of AIS, the production of a wide range of vehicles with different types of superstructures will be established: flatbed platforms, vans, dump trucks, grain carriers, municipal special equipment, and others. Depending on the specific model, the level of production localization will range from 15 to 40 percent.

The total investments of the AIS Group of Companies and the PO "Avto-Holding" plant in the implementation of the FAW project in Ukraine — including modernization of production facilities, development of sales and service, purchase of equipment, and personnel training — will amount to about half a million US dollars.

According to the marketing director of the AIS Group of Companies, Sergey Borovik, the segment of new trucks is showing steady growth. At the end of 2018, the market capacity reached 4.7 thousand units, exceeding pre-crisis indicators and adding 22 percent to the previous year. He also noted that the company is traditionally strong in this segment and expects, through cooperation with such a partner as FAW, to strengthen its position and offer customers a wide selection of quickly payback trucks for business.

The start of sales is scheduled for the second half of 2019.
