Starting from 2019, the companies will jointly develop a new generation of high-end safety systems using autonomous driver monitoring technology - DMS.
This technology will work in conjunction with the third-generation advanced driver assistance system ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), developed by Geely, thereby preventing vehicle collisions.
By improving such systems, Geely and Smart Eye will further develop technologies for the production of semi-autonomous vehicles.
According to statistics, the vast majority of road accidents continue to occur due to the driver losing vigilance or being distracted by extraneous factors, such as answering a call or writing a text message, communicating with other passengers, as well as a sudden deterioration in health.

The main task of such systems is to understand the driver's condition and, accordingly, provide timely assistance in dangerous road situations.
By studying eye movement, facial expressions, and head position, Smart Eye technologies will make it possible to determine and understand the state of concentration of a Geely car driver, as well as their attentiveness and degree of drowsiness behind the wheel.
Recall that in 2018, Geely Auto entered a new energy automotive era and presented to the world its new diversified energy-efficient strategy, providing for further development in four most technologically advanced areas: hybrid technologies, alternative fuels, hydrogen fuel cells, and pure electric technologies, and also announced the launch of production of the flagship smart hybrid Bo Rui GE (Geely Atlas).
