BMW honored its best dealers from around the world at a gala party in the new BMW Group Classic building. Pieter Nota, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for sales and the BMW brand, presented awards to 41 leading dealers, expressing gratitude on behalf of the company for their hard work in contributing to the brand's success in 2017.

"2017 was the seventh consecutive year in which we achieved a record sales figure. This consistent success is only possible thanks to strong partners in the dealer organization," noted Pieter Nota. "Satisfied customers are what we all strive for. We all work towards the common goal of becoming an even more customer-oriented company with premium service. Today's winners are a great example of this, and the 'Excellence in Sales' award is our gratitude to them and recognition of their achievements," he continued.

The aforementioned award is presented in six different categories, plus special jury nominations. In total, 3100 dealers from 85 countries participated. A highly qualified jury selected 41 winners in the categories of Sales, Aftersales, Customer Service, Luxury Class, and BMW i & BMW i Performance. The "Manager of the Year" award, recognizing the exceptional contribution of managers to the success of individual dealer networks, was given to 6 nominees, including the CEO of the Ukrainian importer, Alexander Timofeev.

"First and foremost, this award is recognition of the high efficiency of our company and its leadership among the global BMW dealer community by one of the greatest automotive corporations in the world," noted Alexander Timofeev. "For me personally, it is a high appreciation of my contribution to the development of a world-renowned brand, daily work, and love for what I do," he added.

Also this year, a special nomination "Most Eco-Efficient Dealer" was launched, due to the company's special position in the development of socio-economic and environmental programs. India received the highest rating, followed by Denmark, Colombia, China, and Germany.

The three-day conference in Munich included sightseeing, gourmet cuisine tasting, and first-class experiences for the invited winners, as well as the award ceremony. The highlight was a sightseeing tour of Munich in historic BMW cars, which revealed the brand's hometown to the dealers in a special light and inspired them for new achievements.

"We are currently in the largest model expansion in the history of our company. With exciting new models such as the BMW X2 and BMW X3, complemented by the X4 and the BMW 8 Series Coupe, which will be released this year, I am confident that together with our partners and investors in the dealer networks, we will make 2018 another record year," said Pieter Nota during the event.
