The appearance of the new Forester has not undergone radical changes, retaining its recognizable shapes and proportions. The crossover has moved to the modular SGP (Subaru Global Platform) platform, which also underpins the Impreza, XV, and Ascent models. The wheelbase has grown by 40 mm (2670), but the manufacturer has not yet disclosed other dimensions.

The interior of the new model is quite reminiscent of the updated Outback's cabin and boasts an 8-inch multimedia system screen with Subaru Starlink, TomTom navigation, and the ability to connect a smartphone.

To assist the driver, in addition to the already known EyeSight system, a DriverFocus function is now also offered, which remembers personal settings and monitors the driver's level of fatigue.
In the American engine lineup, only the previous 2.5-liter engine is currently announced, with its power increased to 184 hp (+12).
The timing of the new Subaru Forester's arrival in showrooms, as well as prices for the model, have not yet been published.
