Compared to its predecessor, the Geely Emgrand 7 FL features an updated exterior, interior, and technical equipment. The car has received a number of premium segment options, such as a keyless entry system, engine start via the Start/Stop button, LED daytime running lights, and more.
The exterior of the Geely Emgrand 7 FL has become more expressive, with the silhouette acquiring sharp, predatory shapes. Changes affected the bumper, headlights, radiator grille, and daytime running lights. The updated headlights retained their previous contours but completely changed their internals - the headlights and daytime running lights are now made using LED elements. The new bumper and radiator grille add a touch of aggressiveness and swiftness to the appearance. The rear part has also changed noticeably. The wide combination taillights have become sharper, acquiring a more complex design that emphasizes the lines of the car's silhouette, which is now perceived as more composed and dynamic.
The interior design has become more modern, the materials have gained texture and refinement, while the car has retained its interior spaciousness thanks to its solid dimensions: length 4631 mm, width 1789 mm, height 1470 mm. The cabin has received many new ergonomic solutions: an updated instrument cluster with an enlarged onboard computer display, a multifunctional steering wheel, and completely redesigned door cards with convenient handles. There are also aesthetic additions - neat chrome trims on the air vents and a silver "belt" dividing the dashboard into two parts. When developing this model, Geely decided to completely abandon the traditional ignition key, equipping the car even in the base version with a keyless entry system with an engine start button.
As in the previous generation, the designers paid great attention to passive and active safety systems. The model in the base version is equipped with airbags. Active safety systems include: ABS + EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and an Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system. The previously existing tire pressure monitoring system has been supplemented with a brake pad wear monitoring system. The car also features options such as warnings for unfastened seat belts for the driver and front passenger, safety bars in the side doors, a collapsible steering column with an anti-theft steering lock mechanism, automatic door lock unlocking in the event of an accident, ISOFIX child seat anchors on the rear seat, and a child safety lock for the rear side doors. Safety is enhanced by the central locking, anti-theft alarm, and immobilizer (blocking unauthorized engine start), an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power-adjustable and heated exterior mirrors with LED turn signal repeaters, and a heated rear window with an integrated radio antenna.
A high level of driving and travel comfort is achieved through options such as: air conditioning, heated front seats, an onboard computer, manual 6-way driver's seat adjustment, driver's seat lumbar support, power steering and a steering column adjustable for tilt, power windows for all doors, a rear seat backrest folding in a 60/40 ratio, automatic headlight activation depending on ambient light, and air vents in the footwell area for rear passengers.
To stand out in traffic, the car features: halogen headlights with electric beam leveling adjustment, LED daytime running lights, and side door and bumper moldings painted in the body color.
The car has received new original metallic body color shades, for which, unlike many competitors, you don't have to pay extra.
The Geely Emgrand 7 FL is equipped with a proven, reliable, and economical naturally aspirated CVVT engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters and a power of 106 hp, which works in conjunction with a five-speed manual transmission.
