The current generation of the Rexton model will be discontinued this year, but at this stage the SUV has decided to please its fans with a rich Prestige trim.

Under the hood of the limited-edition Rexton is a two-liter diesel engine producing 155 hp, which works in tandem with a 5-speed automatic transmission manufactured under a Mercedes-Benz license.

This tandem accelerates the almost three-ton SUV to 100 km/h in just 11.5 seconds. Fuel consumption in the urban cycle is 9.3 liters per 100 km.

The equipment list of the Prestige version includes climate control, heated lower windshield, rearview mirror with anti-glare function, rain sensor and light sensor, heated front and rear seats, automatic folding of exterior mirrors, parking sensors and cruise control.

In addition, the Rexton was for the first time equipped with an innovative Gazer multimedia system, which combines a music and entertainment center, as well as a high-performance tablet with navigation, and runs on the Android operating system. The multimedia system is also controlled using the multifunction steering wheel with which the Rexton is equipped.

The new media center has a powerful quad-core processor with a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz, which ensures fast loading of web pages, efficient rendering of three-dimensional objects in 3D navigation maps, high-quality HD video without delays and stable operation in difficult temperature conditions.

A 9-band equalizer with seven preset modes is responsible for decent sound quality. At the same time, the multimedia center supports all popular music formats (MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, APE and many others), and sound settings are applied to absolutely all audio sources in the system – radio, music players and other Android applications, AUX input, navigation applications and other programs.

The device supports microSDHC/SDHC memory cards up to 32GB, and also allows you to connect a digital television receiver DVB-T/DVB-T2, a surround view system or a video recorder, a rear view camera and much more.

Sales of the limited version of the SsangYong Rexton SUV are scheduled to start in April.
