Hyundai Motor has summed up the results of January 2017 in the global market. In the first month of the year, 342,607 cars were sold, which is 1.3% more than in the same period of 2016.

Of the total sales, 45,100 cars were sold in the domestic South Korean market, while sales in foreign markets reached 297,507 units. At the same time, demand in Korea decreased by 9.5% compared to January last year, but in export markets the dynamics were positive — growth amounted to 3.1%.

The sales leader among the brand's models in January was the premium sedan Grandeur of the sixth generation, which sold 10,586 units. The second and third positions were taken by Elantra and Sonata with 5,064 and 3,997 sold cars, respectively.

The manufacturer also reported confident growth in key markets. In the USA, 28,400 cars were sold in January, which is 21.5% more than in December 2016. The most popular among American buyers were Santa Fe, whose sales grew by 53%, and Tucson with an increase of 10%.

January was also successful for Hyundai Motor in the Czech Republic: 32,300 cars were sold here, which is 31% more than in December last year. In this country, consumers showed the greatest interest in the i30 and Tucson models.

In the Ukrainian market, according to the analytical agency "Autoconsulting", 266 Hyundai cars were sold in January 2017. This is 98.51% more than in the same month of 2016. The brand's share in the Ukrainian market at the end of January was 5.65%. The most popular car of the brand in Ukraine was the Tucson crossover — it was chosen by 99 buyers.
