Google has decided to abandon further development of its own fully autonomous vehicle.
According to data from internal sources, the program to create a car without a steering wheel and pedals has been decided to be closed — the prototypes did not prove to be convenient enough in real-world conditions.
Instead of releasing its own car, Google intends to start partnerships with automakers to develop autopilot technology using existing production models.
