«The brand strategy involves the development of top modifications GT, GT Line and GTi for the entire model range», — Blanchet stated.
Autocar noted that, unlike the GT and GT Line versions of Peugeot crossovers, which received larger wheel rims, leather interior trim, body panel refinements, and a retuned suspension, the GTi variants will also be equipped with more powerful powertrains.

At the same time, the «hot» Peugeot crossovers will remain front-wheel drive, as the all-wheel drive systems developed by the French automaker are not adapted for use on «hot» models.
Currently, the Peugeot lineup includes only two GTi models — 308 and 208. The first is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing 270 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque, while the second is powered by a 1.6 turbo-four developing 208 horsepower and 300 Nm.
