The project was named WTF86. Additionally, the V6 engine displacement was increased from 3.8 to 4.1 liters, resulting in power rising from 600 to 1000 horsepower. Furthermore, the tuners installed turbochargers, replaced the engine control unit, and refined the cooling, fuel, and exhaust systems. To fit the engine into the GT86, it was converted to a dry sump lubrication system, and the front differential had to be abandoned. As a result, the engine height was reduced by 150 millimeters.

The rear-wheel-drive coupe was equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox and paddle shifters. The clutch only needs to be pressed when starting, stopping, and reversing. A sport suspension was also installed, and the braking system was refined.

On the outside, the coupe received a refined aerodynamic body kit from Rocket Bunny. The 18-inch wheels are fitted with Hankook Z221 semi-slicks in size 295/35. Inside, racing seats, five-point seat belts, a Hertz audio system, and a rearview camera were added.
StreetFX noted that the WTF86 is the first car of its kind in the world, and the project is not yet complete. When the coupe is finished, it will participate in timed track runs as well as sprint races from a rolling start.
