AvtoVAZ is looking for a new president?!
Russian media are full of reports that the main shareholders are looking for a replacement for the current head of AvtoVAZ, Bo Andersson
According to the information, both owners of AvtoVAZ — the Renault-Nissan partnership and the state corporation Rostec — are expressing dissatisfaction with the activities of the current head. As RBC notes, none of the structures officially confirm these talks, but apparently, the owners are indeed looking for a replacement for him.
In the agreement with Andersson, valid until the end of 2016, requirements are set to conquer 20% of the market and achieve break-even with an operating margin of 6%. At the moment, none of these indicators have been achieved. Moreover, following the results of the past year, the enterprise's losses became the maximum in its entire history and amounted to 74 billion rubles.
A source from Interfax claims that the issue of replacing Andersson will be brought up for discussion at the board of directors meeting scheduled for March 4.
