Such a scenario becomes real if the concern fails to repay its debt to creditors, which reaches 20 billion euros. This is exactly the demand made by 13 banking institutions, with which the auto giant reached a lending agreement last week.
As reported by Reuters, the most likely option appears to be a partial sale of shares in the truck manufacturer MAN, as well as getting rid of brands such as Bentley, Lamborghini, and Ducati.
The automaker described the 20 billion borrowed as a "financial safety cushion," the need for which arose due to the scandal related to diesel engines.
