The German manufacturer recorded a November sales drop in the American market by a quarter compared to October. Such a significant decline in Volkswagen's indicators in the US is explained by difficulties with the sale of diesel modifications.
In fact, interest in cars with diesel engines has sharply fallen. Vehicles on such fuel have lost their appeal for principled American buyers, who likely perceived Volkswagen's actions as deception. The situation did not change even after the company introduced discounts and made leasing more affordable.
It is worth noting that in October, Volkswagen reported quarterly losses for the first time in fifteen years. The reason for the negative financial result was the reservation of 6.7 billion euros to cover costs caused by the diesel engine scandal.
