Mitsubishi Motors has decided to abandon the development of a new generation of the Pajero Wagon, as well as the creation of other full-size SUVs.

This step is driven by the automaker's desire to improve the fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness of its entire model lineup. In the future, the Japanese brand plans to focus its efforts on producing more compact vehicles, including compact crossovers.

It should be added that, in addition to the Pajero, as part of the new strategy and cost reduction, plans to create the next generation of the i-MiEV electric car have also been abandoned.
