In June 2014, the European car market showed a sales increase of 4.3%. The leader remains the VW Golf, which also outperformed the overall market: its sales grew by 7.5%.

In second place is the Renault Clio, which added 12.3% compared to June 2013 results. Third place is held by the Ford Fiesta, whose sales rose by 6.2%.
The fourth and fifth positions are also occupied by compact hatchbacks: the Opel/Vauxhall Corsa (+3.5%) and the Volkswagen Polo, which, on the contrary, lost 14.5%. Sixth is the Ford Focus with a drop of 3%.

Of particular note is the Renault Captur crossover, which in June rose to seventh place, increasing sales by 116%. Eighth place went to the Peugeot 208, whose figures decreased by 14.9%. Following it is the new Nissan Qashqai (+4.9%), and closing the top ten is the Opel/Vauxhall Astra with a minus of 3.1%.
