Such a statement was made by Pavlo Sheremet, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, back on April 1 - "Special duties will be reduced by a third starting from April 15."

As is known, special duties were introduced in April 2013, for a period of 3 years, to support national automobile manufacturers. At that time, the domestic automotive industry was experiencing a significant decline in production.
Since then, the introduced special duties have been criticized more than once. And in March of this year, the Verkhovna Rada passed in the first reading a draft law on their abolition.
Let us recall that the Parliament abolished the recycling fee and the excise tax on vehicle conversion.
