Experts of the consulting group A-95, whose forecasts have already been confirmed more than once, predicted the cost of fuel for the May holidays. "Based on current currency quotes, in the next two to three weeks the cost of fuel will reach 16 UAH/l and higher," said the director of the group A-95, Sergey Kuyun.
As is known, the price of fuel in Ukraine depends 90% on exchange rate fluctuations. This is due to the fact that petroleum products are bought mainly abroad, and taxes on them are also set in foreign currency.
The price of petroleum products could decrease as a result of a global decline in oil prices, but such a decline is not observed at the moment. "The cost of crude oil has been fluctuating within 103-108 dollars per barrel for a long time," says Sergey Kuyun.
