The most common defect is possible damage to the driver's side airbag cable. It can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. There are 3.5 million such cars. Next in the "ranking" are problems with seat rails - 2.32 million cars. 760 thousand cars are being recalled due to possible problems with the steering column. Also, "Toyotas" have found issues with the front wiper drive and starter problems.
Cars of the following models will be recalled: Yaris, Urban Cruiser, RAV4 and Hilux from 2004-2010.
Fortunately, the detected problems have not led to accidents so far.
All cars will be checked at Toyota service centers.
This is not the first recall of the brand's cars in the last six months. During this period, cars have been recalled five times including this one.
