The issue of renaming streets is being considered by the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), reported the head of the KCSA, Volodymyr Bondarenko. One of the renamed streets should be part of Instytutska Street, where the tragic events took place in February this year.

It is planned to rename the part of Instytutska that runs from Khreshchatyk, where a memorial to those killed during the revolutionary events in the capital will be installed. The KCSA does not want to rename the entire Instytutska Street, as it is its historical name, which appeared thanks to the Institute of Noble Maidens located there before the revolution.
In addition, in memory of the heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, a street in Troieshchyna may be renamed, where one of the fallen heroes lived.
As for the streets of Kyiv named after Lenin, as well as those closely associated with the Soviet regime, their historical names may be restored.
