Starting April 14, 2014, the size of special duties on passenger cars with gasoline engines ranging from 1 to 2.2 liters will decrease by a third, and from April 14, 2015, it will be three times lower compared to current rates.
This year, for cars with engines over 1000 cubic centimeters but not exceeding 1500 cc, special duty rates will drop to 4.31%, and a year later to 2.15%.
For vehicles with engines over 1.5 liters but not exceeding 2200 cc, from April 14, 2014, rates will fall to 8.63%, and a year later to 4.32%.
The decision of the ICMT came into effect from the moment of official publication.
