We have already written about the vehicles of the Ukrainian army, among which there are even American Hummers. But it is one thing to see formidable equipment in ordinary conditions, and quite another to accomplish the assigned task in an environment as close to combat as possible.

At the training ground in the Mykolaiv region, exercises were conducted to practice defense against a potential enemy's landing force. Vehicles decommissioned from storage depots and other military equipment took part.
Given that no one has particularly been engaged in modernizing our army lately, the equipment stored in warehouses can be considered a kind of gift from the Cold War era. The basis of our motorized units still consists of UAZs, GAZ-66, ZIL, BTR-80, and other Soviet vehicles (Russian military equipment has not gone far from ours).

There are even a few Hummer H1 pickups, which in their technical characteristics surpass the vaunted Russian "Tiger". The Hummer is equipped with a V8 engine with a displacement of 6.6 liters, has a constant fuel consumption of about 20-25 l/100 km.
Its independent suspension allows driving with a large lateral roll, and short front and rear overhangs are very helpful off-road. The fordable depth of the Hummer H1 is 1.2 meters, and the ground clearance is 540 mm. The acceleration dynamics of the "American" from standstill to "hundred" is 19 seconds. Its energy-intensive suspension allows driving off-road at a speed of 134 km/h.
