KrAZ Cougar
This is one of the most sought-after military vehicles. Its main function is participation in urban combat. The vehicle was first demonstrated in 2013 at the "IAV 2013" exhibition.
The vehicle's mass is 5.9 tons, and the engine can run on both gasoline and diesel. Power is 218 hp, top speed is 105 km/h. The transmission is automatic, with 5 gears. Several machine guns and a grenade launcher are mounted on the roof. The body is made of armored plates. Inside, there are two crew members, plus the ability to take several infantrymen on board. The cost of the KrAZ Cougar is $215,000.

Kozak
An army SUV with a purely Ukrainian name was first shown in 2009. It was presented personally to Viktor Yushchenko on Ukraine's Independence Day. Although many plans for active use of the vehicle in the army were discussed, things did not move beyond talk. As a result, only two army "Kozaks" are in storage in a mothballed state.

The weight of the "Kozak" is 5.5 tons, and it is powered by an Iveco turbodiesel unit with 176 hp. The crew is 5 people. Ground clearance is 365 mm. It can ford water obstacles up to 1.5 m deep.
Vepr
An SUV created jointly by Italian and Ukrainian specialists. It is a four-wheel-drive multi-purpose cargo-passenger vehicle with high cross-country capability, designed for off-road use and intended for military and emergency rescue services. The "Vepr" is based on the military model GAZ-66, filled with new components and an improved engine.

The width of the vehicle is 2 meters 20 cm, and the wheel diameter is over a meter. In Ukraine, the vehicle found no demand either from private buyers or when offered to security forces. However, in Tyumen and Yakutia, for example, about a dozen such vehicles were purchased.
Dozor
The Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau has a number of developments that in theory should have interested the army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, the government traditionally lacked funds.

DOZOR-A is a multi-purpose wheeled vehicle designed for equipping special forces units of the Armed Forces and rapid response forces. Weight is 3.5 tons. Crew is 5 people. The diesel turbocharged engine develops 122, 136, or 197 horsepower. Ground clearance is 400 mm.

DOZOR-B is more powerful than version "A". Its task is to transport personnel, cargo, and to install light weapons, communications, and special equipment. Weight is 6.3 tons. Crew (troops) is 11 people (3+8). The engine is the same as in version "A". Ground clearance is 400 mm. The depth of fordable water obstacles is up to 1 m.
Hummer

The multi-purpose Hummer M1097A2 (160 hp) is an American army all-terrain vehicle that is mainly in service with the US Armed Forces, as well as in the armies and civilian services of a number of other countries. Since 2001, it has been used in airmobile units and peacekeeping forces, and can be transported by air and airdropped. The United States donated several vehicles to the Ukrainian army.
Land Rover Defender
In 2012, the European Commission and the US government donated 54 Land Rover Defender 110 SUVs to the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service. They are equipped with a 2.2-liter diesel engine with 122 hp and a torque of 360 Nm.

But no matter what the equipment of the military is, much depends on the person behind the wheel of this machinery. Conscripts rarely get to drive a combat vehicle, and their lack of practical skills can negate all the advantages of new equipment. Sometimes even an ordinary curb becomes a serious obstacle for such a soldier.
