Currently, the most suitable place for evacuating the injured is the area between St. Michael's Cathedral and the building of the Kyiv City Police Department.
Those ready to help should consider a few recommendations:
- it is better to act not alone, but with a partner;
- it is advisable to fold down the rear row of seats to free up a flat surface;
- lay oilcloth and blankets on the floor, and if there is no oilcloth, regular bags will do;
- it is better not to touch the seriously wounded - they should be taken by medics;
- large white crosses made of tape and paper should be attached to the body or doors of the car so that the car can be seen from afar.
As of the morning of February 20, 25 protesters were killed on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, and 75 more were injured. There is a particular shortage of transport for delivering the wounded - most of them are being sent to Shevchenko Boulevard.
