The PSMA Rus plant is located in the Kaluga region and is a joint venture between the Peugeot/Citroen group and Mitsubishi Motors.

The plant, designed for 180 thousand cars per year, produced only 45 thousand cars in 2013. These included Peugeot 408 and Citroen C4 sedans, the Mitsubishi Outlander crossover, and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV. PSA management hopes that with the arrival of a Chinese investor, it will be possible to solve financial problems and revive production.

Recall that an agreement was previously reached with the Chinese company DongFeng to sell it 20% of Peugeot/Citroen shares, and another 20% of shares will be bought out by the French government. It is possible that the Chinese will be able to obtain a controlling stake by buying out PSA's share from General Motors.
