The city administration states that although the purchase of new snow-clearing machines did not take place this year, 297 units of special equipment have been prepared for treating streets. The reserves of sand and sand-salt mixture for Kyiv's road surface are sufficient.

In addition, Kyivavtodor can quickly deploy over 200 additional vehicles to eliminate the consequences of bad weather — agreements have been reached with local companies. The forecast is also encouraging: precipitation is expected only for three days, after which utility workers will have the opportunity to put the roads in order.

Besides Kyiv, worsening weather is forecast in the western and northern regions of Ukraine, while in the rest of the territory there will be wet snow with rain, with wind gusts reaching 15–20 m/s.

Due to the complicated situation on the roads, the State Traffic Inspectorate urges drivers to be vigilant, observe speed limits, and keep their distance. AvtoPortal, in turn, has collected videos with recommendations on preparing your car for the winter season and key driving skills in cold weather.
