According to available data, Google's engineering developments in the field of self-driving technologies will become available to Fiat and Chrysler. The autopilot systems created by the search giant are planned to be implemented in cars of this Italian-American alliance, primarily in the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. For now, details about the terms and conditions of this cooperation are not disclosed.

Earlier, Google held negotiations about a similar partnership with General Motors, but the parties did not reach an agreement. The reason for the disagreements was the question of who owns the data collected by the autopilot electronics during movement.

Even earlier, at the end of last year, Ford and Google announced the creation of a joint venture to produce self-driving cars.

Google has been developing self-driving control systems for almost seven years now. Currently, more than fifty cars are being tested, which have collectively covered almost two million kilometers in fully autonomous mode.
